How can you reposition a brand for a new audience?

Pragmatic Semiconductor are pioneers in low cost, low carbon chips (called FlexICs) which, unlike silicon chips, are physically flexible. After a decade perfecting the tech they were ready to launch to market but their brand wasn’t. Our challenge was to shift the brand from one focused on technical detail to one that would convince potential customers of the possibilities of the new tech.

Our solution centres on a brand concept called ‘Flexible intelligence’, reflecting the product’s clear point of difference and the agile approach of the business.  A bright colour palette, bold tone of voice and a design system which integrates their logo into photography (demonstrating how FlexICs fit seamlessly into everyday life) stands out in a conservative sector.

We created a new design system, key assets and online brand guidelines. In tandem we created a completely new website. Workshops with the client helped shape the site’s architecture, ensuring an intuitive front-end experience and a back-end platform that supports future updates and SEO growth.

Finally, we created a campaign for the launch of their first product line, NFC Connect. Targeting marketeers through paid Linkedin posts, bringing the tech to life through dynamic animation.
